We offer a thorough substance use assessment designed to evaluate an individual’s substance use patterns and its their impact on overall well-being.

The assessment process will include an in-depth interview with a qualified clinician, identification of strengths and resources, as well as collaborative goal setting.

This comprehensive assessment not only aids in understanding the complexities of substance use but also ensures that you receive the most appropriate and effective treatment options.

Individual Counseling

We provide personalized individual substance use counseling tailored to meet your unique needs and circumstances. We are dedicated to helping you explore the underlying factors of your substance use and develop effective strategies for recovery.

Group Therapy

Group therapy sessions offer a supportive and collaborative environment where individuals can come together to share their experiences, learn from one another, and foster a sense of community on the path to recovery.

Group therapy provides a safe and confidential space to connect, grow, and heal together.

Consultation / Training

We offer specialized training and consultation services designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals working in the field of substance use treatment and recovery and community members. High Desert Healing provides evidence-based training and tailored consultation to help organizations and individuals improve their practices, outcomes, and understanding.

We develop and deliver training sessions that address the specific needs of your organization, covering topics such as substance use trends, risk factors, co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based practices.

Specialized Services:

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is an evidence-based group that focuses on identifying and changing destructive behaviors, enhancing moral reasoning, and building a foundation for personal responsibility and positive decision-making.

MRT is a closed group and requires approval prior to participation. Contact us if you are interested in signing up!

Seeking Safety

Seeking Safety is an evidence-based curriculum used in both therapy groups and individual counseling sessions focused on helping individuals manage trauma and addiction by building coping skills, emotional regulation, and safety in their recovery process.

Specialty Court Treatment Services

High Desert Healing is proud to partner with various specialty court programs to ensure that participants receive quality, evidence-based services in order to promote recovery and reduce recidivism. Services include individual counseling, group therapy, case management, case consultations, and care coordination with the specialty court team.

Perinatal Support Group

In partnership with Humboldt General Hospital, High Desert Healing hosts a monthly support group for expecting, pregnant, and postpartum women. This support group offers a safe space to connect, share, and support one another's journeys.

This group takes place on the last Sunday of each month at Humboldt General Hospital.

Please note that a support group is not a replacement for formal therapy services. Talk with your group facilitator if you are interested in learning about available therapeutic resources.

Medicaid Fee-for-Service

If you are underinsured or uninsured, we offer the following solutions to help make our services more accessible

Sliding Fee Scale: We offer a sliding fee scale based on income and financial circumstances. This allows us to provide services at a more affordable rate for those who may be facing financial challenges. Applications for Sliding Fee are available upon request.

Super Bill: Although we do not currently accept insurance directly, we can provide a detailed super bill for our services. This document can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan's coverage.
