Jaime L. Clemens, CADC, PMH-C

I am a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor in the State of Nevada. I have a background in treatment, business, and public health, having worked in hospital settings, non-profit settings, and judicial settings. I am also a certified Perinatal Mental Health Certified Clinician, specializing in services for prenatal, postpartum, and parenting persons. 

My counseling philosophy is rooted in a holistic and client-centered approach, recognizing that each individual's journey to recovery is unique. I believe in fostering a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can openly explore their experiences, emotions, and challenges. By combining evidence-based practices with empathy and support, I aim to empower individuals to take an active role in their healing process. I emphasize the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship and collaborating on personalized treatment plans that address not only the substance use itself but also the underlying issues that contribute to it. My ultimate goal is to help clients develop the skills and resilience necessary for lasting change and a healthier, more fulfilling life.

I am an active member of Humboldt Connections, Humboldt County's local suicide prevention task force. I am also a certified safeTALK Suicide Alertness Trainer and am passionate about helping to create a community that is safer from suicide. 

I am also an active member of the Sixth Judicial District's Community Improvement Council where I use my clinical background and expertise to help improve our local child welfare and juvenile dependency systems so that local justice-involved families can have the best chance for success.
